Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) is planning to 聽acquire the Methanol Assets of OCI NV a Netherland based聽 company. OCI NV聽 Methanol plants are located at Netherland and USA 聽and were valued at USD 4 Billion.聽 SABIC is planning to boost its global expansion to capture the overseas market. The negotiation is still in pipeline. Moreover, SABIC is one of the biggest supplier of Methanol in India, around 80 percent of the methanol is imported by India thereby SABIC have a great opportunity to increase its import and market share in India.
