deugro completes another complex cargo delivery for INEOS Project One, coordinating global shipments of heavy equipment from UAE and Oman.
As part of its continued contribution to INEOS Project One鈥攔ecognized as one of Europe鈥檚 most energy- and raw-material-efficient olefin production facilities鈥攄eugro has successfully executed another complex international shipment. This latest delivery involved transporting critical project cargo from Hamriyah in the United Arab Emirates and Sohar in Oman to the Port of Antwerp in Belgium, completed in June. The successful arrival of this shipment marks another important step in the ongoing development of the INEOS megaproject in Antwerp.
This latest operation follows a substantial delivery completed earlier in the year. In January, deugro transported an impressive 52,600 cubic meters of equipment from China to Belgium. That shipment comprised various oversized and heavy-lift cargo units, including a massive modular building weighing 430 metric tons and measuring approximately 29 meters long, 14.4 meters wide, and 6.65 meters high. Other notable components included pipe racks measuring over 15 meters in length and exchanger skids weighing in excess of 160 metric tons. The nature and scale of this cargo demanded meticulous planning, specialist equipment, and deep logistical expertise to ensure safe and timely delivery.
The complex coordination of these shipments was led by deugro UK, which served as the central control tower for the entire logistics operation. This hub worked in close cooperation with local deugro offices in Belgium, the UAE, and Oman, as well as with dteq Transport Engineering Solutions. dteq played a vital role by providing on-site supervision and technical support throughout all loading and discharge activities. Representatives from each deugro regional office were physically present during the key phases of cargo handling to ensure precision execution and compliance with safety protocols.
