INOX Air Products will build a new ASU to supply UHP nitrogen for ReNew鈥檚 TOPCON solar cell plant, boosting India鈥檚 solar manufacturing capacity.
INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India鈥檚 leading industrial, electronic and specialty gases manufacturing company, has signed a long-term agreement with ReNew Photovoltaics Private Limited. Under this agreement, INOXAP will supply ultra-high purity (UHP) nitrogen to ReNew鈥檚 upcoming TOPCON Solar Cell manufacturing facility at Dholera, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. As part of this strategic engagement, INOXAP will invest in construction of a state-of-the-art Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Dholera to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted supply of UHP Nitrogen.
The ASU will be set-up to meet the tailored stringent purity and consistency requirement for the manufacturing of solar cells. The ASU is expected to become fully operational by the end of next year, underscoring INOXAP鈥檚 commitment to supporting India鈥檚 clean energy transition and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.

ReNew鈥檚 Dholera facility represents a critical step in strengthening India鈥檚 solar manufacturing capabilities; one more step towards transforming India into a global centre for manufacturing of Solar PV Cells with the latest TOPCON technology. The new ASU will be designed to deliver UHP Nitrogen with exceptional reliability, designed to achieve the exacting quality standards required for high-efficiency solar cell manufacturing. INOXAP already supplies key electronic gases such as Nitrous Oxide, Ammonia, and Silane to ReNew鈥檚 existing Cell Manufacturing Plant based on the PERC technology, through a robust supply chain, strengthened by the deployment of owned ISO containers and Tube Trailers, since 2024. INOXAP has also been offering a comprehensive gas management solution for the supply, distribution, and onsite management of electronic specialty gases, tailored to meet stringent quality and reliability for ReNew鈥檚 operational requirements for their PERC plant.
