On December 8, 2025, Sennics marked the second anniversary of the Seminar on Future Development Trends in Rubber Additives by unveiling impressive scientific and technological progress achieved over the last two years. At the center of this progress is the company鈥檚 newly developed eco-friendly antioxidant, SA6000 鈥 a product that represents a major advancement in sustainable rubber additive innovation. SA6000, built upon an entirely original chemical structure, showcases significant enhancements in both environmental performance and application efficiency. With patents already granted in China and the United States, the product is now well-positioned for rapid commercial expansion. Sennics has stated that it can scale up production swiftly by leveraging its existing manufacturing facilities, enabling it to respond effectively to rising global demand for high-performance, environmentally responsible antioxidants.
Backed by strong research capabilities and a consistent history of breakthroughs in product development, Sennics views SA6000 as a cornerstone for supporting the global transition toward green, low-carbon growth. The company believes the product will help tire manufacturers produce more sustainable and durable rubber products, while simultaneously strengthening biodiversity protection efforts. Through advancements like SA6000, Sennics continues to reinforce its leadership role within the international rubber additives industry.
Since 2020, Sennics has been actively developing the next generation of rubber additive materials by designing more than 100 new chemical structures that comply with industry trends and evolving international environmental regulations. One of the most notable outcomes of this internal innovation strategy has been the creation of SA6000. Unlike traditional para-phenylenediamines (PPDs), SA6000鈥檚 molecular structure introduces superior environmental advantages without compromising performance. It offers excellent compatibility with rubber formulations and does not negatively affect the properties of uncured rubber compounds. Additionally, the product significantly enhances resistance against ozone exposure and thermo-oxidative aging, two critical factors impacting rubber durability. SA6000 also addresses the persistent blooming issue commonly seen in tire surface compounds. Tests have shown that rubber formulated with SA6000 demonstrates dynamic performance on par with that of compounds containing 6PPD, a widely used industry standard.
Sennics has already carried out extensive laboratory analyses and large-scale tire testing for SA6000. Findings to date highlight its strong protective effectiveness and its promising environmental profile. As more long-term mileage data becomes available, the product鈥檚 ecological safety and durability benefits are expected to be further substantiated.
The journey toward commercialization began in 2022 when Sennics submitted a patent application to the China National Intellectual Property Administration. In parallel, the company initiated Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) filings across multiple countries. By late 2024, SA6000 had secured patent protection in both China and the United States, underscoring the global recognition of its innovative value.
SA6000鈥檚 production process relies on abundant raw materials with manageable and predictable costs, allowing Sennics to scale manufacturing efficiently. In the years ahead, the company plans not only to accelerate production but also to expand its portfolio with bio-based antioxidants and next-generation antioxidant series aimed at further improving tire surface blooming behavior. These efforts will enable Sennics to offer a broader, more diversified suite of products that support the rubber tire industry鈥檚 green transformation.
Reflecting on this milestone, Sennics CEO Gao Shiming noted that the discussions initiated two years ago at the company鈥檚 seminar have now evolved into a tangible breakthrough. He emphasized that SA6000 delivers exceptional ecological safety and comprehensive performance, giving the tire industry a powerful, high-performing sustainable alternative. Gao reaffirmed that Sennics will continue leveraging its technological strengths and broad product lineup to deliver solutions that meet the evolving demands of the global rubber tire sector.
