Aspartame prices increased across global markets in April and reversed a downward trend that was seen in previous month. The increase in prices came as a response to seasonal rise in demand from downstream industries. Downstream sectors like food and beverage manufacturing industries started preparing for summer production cycles and contributed to price increase of aspartame.
The aspartame prices witnessed an increase in global market due to an improvement in consumption from end users. As summer is approaching the demand for sweetener-based products like soft drinks, flavoured powders and low-calorie foods tends to increase. This increase in consumer demand leads to higher procurement of Aspartame by end-user industries. Suppliers also maintained a strong production cycle to meet this increasing seasonal demand.
