The contract, awarded by Al Haer Environmental Services Company, is part of a consortium that includes Miahona Company (lead), Marafiq, and N.V. Besix S.A. The project involves the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of听 an Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP), which will play a key role in addressing the growing demand for wastewater treatment in the Kingdom.

The project is being developed under the umbrella of the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), which is the principal off-taker for water and wastewater projects across the Kingdom. This new sewage treatment facility will be designed to handle a substantial amount of wastewater, significantly increasing Riyadh鈥檚 treatment capacity. The plant will also include necessary infrastructure, such as connections to outfall delivery facilities, to ensure the efficient discharge of treated water.
