Asian methanol prices ended the week close to flat but higher on a weekly basis, with the largest increase of 1.9% reported in China on the back of tight supply from Iran. South Korea was fractionally up, while Southeast Asia and Japan were unchanged, and India tumbled on struggling import demand.

The sentiment in the market was鈥俠ullish as the CFR China market experienced rises attributed to tightening supply fundamentals and the pattern of regional trade.

Buyers and traders said supplies of both sanctioned and non-sanctioned methanol cargoes to鈥俠e delivered in February were scarce.
