XCF Global and Continual partner to launch New Rise Australia, aiming to advance SAF and HVO infrastructure across the region.
XCF Global, Inc., a prominent force in the global push to decarbonize aviation through synthetic aviation fuel (SAF), has partnered with Continual Renewable Ventures Pty. Ltd. (Continual), an Australian firm dedicated to advancing SAF and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), also known as renewable diesel. The two companies have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at establishing New Rise Australia Pty. Ltd. (New Rise AU), a new venture focused on the development and commercialization of SAF projects throughout Australia.
New Rise AU will operate under a licensing agreement that utilizes XCF Global鈥檚 proprietary SAF platform. This includes its patent-pending site layout, modular configuration, and integrated design鈥攅lements specifically engineered to reduce project development timeframes and enhance capital efficiency. The venture is set to replicate the model of XCF鈥檚 recently launched New Rise Reno facility in Nevada, which serves as a scalable and rapidly deployable blueprint for clean fuel production.
Mihir Dange, CEO and Board Chair of XCF Global, expressed confidence in the partnership, emphasizing that XCF鈥檚 capital-efficient design and development approach offer a unique advantage in high-growth markets. 鈥淭his collaboration validates the strength of our SAF platform and supports our broader mission to enable rapid deployment of sustainable fuel solutions,鈥 said Dange. 鈥淎ustralia is positioned as an emerging hotspot for SAF, thanks to progressive environmental policies, rising aviation sector demand, and a national drive to cut emissions. We are enthusiastic about entering this promising market with a like-minded partner in Continual.鈥
Renzo Petersen, Director of Continual, echoed this sentiment, stating that XCF鈥檚 innovative facility design was a key factor in their decision to collaborate. 鈥淭heir modular approach allows us to bring SAF and HVO solutions to market more quickly and cost-effectively. This positions New Rise AU to lead the charge in Australia鈥檚 next-generation sustainable fuel infrastructure,鈥 said Petersen. 鈥淏y joining forces, we are creating a foundation for a robust, commercially viable SAF and HVO platform that aligns with Australia's decarbonization targets.鈥
The announcement also represents a strategic milestone in XCF Global鈥檚 international expansion journey. It follows closely on the heels of the commissioning of its New Rise Reno facility, which is now operational and serves as a testament to the efficacy of XCF鈥檚 model. Legal, technical, and commercial due diligence for New Rise AU is already underway, and both parties anticipate moving toward finalizing definitive agreements in the near future.
Nonetheless, it is important to note that while the MOU outlines a shared vision and strategic intent, there is no certainty that the proposed agreements will be executed as planned or on the outlined terms.
