Inpasa partners with Sulzer to supply advanced equipment boosting Brazil鈥檚 biofuel capacity, enhancing efficiency, cutting emissions, and supporting long-term renewable energy expansion.
Sulzer has been chosen by Inpasa, one of Latin America鈥檚 most prominent bioenergy producers, to serve as the primary supplier of process pumps and agitators for the company鈥檚 latest phase of expansion in Brazil. This selection underscores the deepening collaboration between the two organizations as Inpasa ramps up its investments to boost biofuel production capacity and strengthen its role in the region鈥檚 growing renewable energy landscape.
Inpasa is actively constructing new biofuel production units while simultaneously modernizing and enlarging its existing facilities. The company鈥檚 output supports several essential industries, ranging from transportation and animal feed to pharmaceuticals, food processing, and chemicals. With total project investments surpassing CHF 360 million, the partnership outlines the delivery of more than 600 specialized pieces of industrial equipment. These units will be deployed across various operational segments鈥攊ncluding ethanol manufacturing, DDGS (Distiller鈥檚 Dried Grains with Solubles), corn oil extraction, and renewable energy production鈥攂eginning in the first half of 2026.
The equipment provided by Sulzer will play a critical role in processing the raw materials needed to produce Inpasa鈥檚 renewable products. As the installations progress, Inpasa anticipates that its new facilities will elevate the company鈥檚 overall processing capacity to approximately 16 million tonnes annually by 2027. This scale-up represents a major step in meeting rising demand for biofuels and supporting Brazil鈥檚 long-term shift toward cleaner energy sources.
